Guard’s rifle ‘missing’ from Shopian bank

Srinagar, March 6 (GNS): Police have launched an investigation after a security guard said his 12-bore rifle was missing from a bank branch in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

A police officer told GNS that the weapon has gone missing from Kundalan branch of J&K Bank last night.

“The police are investigating the matter after the guard reported the missing of his rifle today,” the official said. “We are investigating how the weapon went missing,” the officer said. (GNS)
