Students, Teachers On National Integration Tour Returns Back
Srinagar, Dec 30: A group of 20 beaming girl students and 02 female teachers of School/College and NCC, Srinagar returned from National Integration, Educational and Motivational tour to Delhi and Agra on 30 Dec 2018. In its quest to enhance awareness to various sections of the society about the cultural richness and development achieved in other parts of the country, the Army had organised this tour from 20 Dec 2018 to 30 Dec 2018, a defence official said in a statement.
The students got a lifetime experience of visiting premier institutes, Jesus and Mary College, Miranda House, Rajiv Chowk and The Parliament, he said.
The students also got an opportunity to visit the place of rich cultural heritage including Agra, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Janpath, India Gate, National Zoological Park, Sarojini Market, Lotus Temple, Delhi Haat, Select City Walk Mall and Saket. The tour participants also got unique opportunities like Lady Hardinge Medical College, Metro train joyride and Movie at PVR, he said.
As part of the interaction, the tour members interacted with Chief of Staff, Delhi Area. During their interaction at Badami Bagh Cantonment with Chinar Corps Commander, Lt Gen AK Bhatt, the students expressed their desire to further build on this enriching experience which they got during the tour and also encourage others to get benefited from such initiatives taken up by the Army, he said.
Appreciating the zest for learning of the students, the Chinar Corps Commander reaffirmed the Army’s resolve to continue providing such avenues to the people of Kashmir especially the youth to explore new possibilities towards a brighter future, he said.
